Trees are amazing organisms which sometime seem to defy time and gravity. Yet whilst doing this, they are also providing a myriad of benefits such as shade, habitats, pollution control, storm water management, stress relief, increased patient recovery rates, aesthetic appeal and many others. Many benefits are now quantified and used to illustrate their importance in our landscape.

In modern urban life, trees and people come into conflict on a regular basis. Space is at a premium and high numbers of persons frequently come in close proximity to trees, many of which have been poorly managed.
Competent monitoring of trees through regular inspections and appropriate management recommendations and works will provide safe and healthy trees which can reach their full potential and provide humans with their many benefits despite being in crowded urban settings.
My work focuses on helping human development coexist more intelligently with long-lived ecological systems through informed existing tree management and resilient urban landscape planning.
